All change at the Pavilion Retail Park as ALDI plan to open a store at the current Halfords site. Halfords are not going far, shuffling north to occupy space left vacant following the departure of Currys/Bensons a few years back.
The development will bring new ramped access to north-east corner of the site, replacing existing stepped access; new steps to connecting to the Lewes Road; and a new pedestrian crossing within the site from Saunders Park View.
The car park currently provides 331 spaces but this will reduce to 258 spaces.
Developers say they believe there will still be enough capacity for shoppers.
There will also be space allocated for 52 bikes and areas for motorcycle parking and electric cars.
